On August 2017, several REFORMED members participated in the European Conference on Educational Research (ECER), celebrated in Copenhagen, Denmark. ECER is the yearly conference of the European Educational Research Association (EERA).2 In the context of the conference, Marcel Pagès and Miriam Prieto gave the paper Common Standards, Different Stakes: A Comparative Analysis of Diverging Accountability Reforms in a Multi-scalar Education Scenario, within the panel “Policies and Practices of Assessment and Governance in Education”, chaired by Peter Kelly3. On his part, Antoni Verger presented the paper School Autonomy with Accountability as a Global Education Reform Model: Exploring International Trends and their (Un)Intended Effects, in a symposium titled “From Quality to Evidence: International trends in accountability mechanisms and policies”. The symposium was chaired by Luís-Miguel Carvalho4 and had Palle Rasmussen as discussant5.
