Lluís Parcerisa is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Sociology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. His main research interests include education policy, sociology of education, comparative education, new public management reforms, teacher professionalism, and the analysis of the privatization of education and its impact on social and educational inequalities.
He has been a visiting fellow in the universities Alberto Hurtado (Santiago de Chile) and Berkley (California). Parcerisa’s doctoral dissertation is part of the REFORMED project and analyses the globalization of new public management (NPM) reforms and its enactment in the Chilean school context.
